decay
Through this body of work, I mean to reveal the process of decay as translation: decomposition not as a value inherent to a material, but rather as the way that objects accrue and lose meanings over time. As information is translated through different materials, spaces, and contexts, how does it grow and change? How are the systems we live under inadequate at addressing this evolution/degradation, and how do humans attempt to create systems of recording?
