Questions of memory and preservation come naturally through working with textiles, as fibers are inherently ephemeral and imbued with feelings of nostalgia, comfort, and intimacy. What do we consider sacred, and what do we consider disposable? How do we, as a collective culture, choose to remember and memorialize things? What is worthy of preservation? What remains after we are gone?
